Personal Inventory
Q: What items are required to be placed on a personal inventory form?
A1: Any item that your campus / department required you sign a checkout agreement form.
A2: Any technology item that your campus / department issued to you or your room, that leaves your place of business with you each day. (i.e. Laptop, PDA, Cell Phone, Portable Printer, Tools, etc.)
Q: Why do I need to fill out an inventory if I have already had to sign a checkout agreement?
A1: Checkout agreements only represent the person not any location associated with that person. (i.e. Room Number, Campus, etc.),
A2: Checkout agreements are generally kept at campuses and not submitted to central office.
Room Inventory
Q: What items are required to be placed on a room inventory form?
A1: Any furniture or technology item that is district property with an attached value. (i.e. student desks, teacher desks, chairs, filing cabinets, tables, Infocus projectors, screens, active boards, computers, printers, monitors, etc.) **Note: for student desks & chairs only a total count and style are needed.**
Q: Some of the items in my room are damaged do I include them on the list?
A1: Yes, until those items are removed by your campus custodian and a fixed asset transfer form has been submitted and approved those items are still considered to be in your room inventory.
Q: Do I include books in the inventory? A1: No, books are inventoried and tracked by the Instructional Services text book coordinator not the fixed assets department.
